EMC VNX
Automated hybrid flash storage platform, optimized for virtual applications.
The Dell EMC VNX family (now succeeded by Unity XT) is a unified hybrid storage platform combining flash and hard disk drives in a single system optimized for virtual server and desktop environments. VNX introduced the concept of automated storage tiering — FAST VP (Fully Automated Storage Tiering for Virtual Pools) — which automatically places the most active data on flash and cold data on lower-cost SATA drives. CSL has deployed VNX systems extensively across Bangladeshi banks and hospitals for mixed workload environments.
